Clay Street Press

1981 - 2024

1312 Clay St.

Founded and run by Mark Patsfall, Clay Street Press is a fine art printshop and gallery specializing in hand made contemporary prints by national, international and local artists.

Clay Street Press has assisted and collaborated with hundreds of artists, many whom had never made prints before. Among artists who have had works produced and shown here include such notables as Hannah Wilke, Kay Rosen, Yoko Ono, Vito Acconci and Nam June Paik.

“One thing is sure, though: Patsfall’s legacy is immeasurable. ‘Mark has made opportunities for a lot of artists,’ says Terence Hammonds, a rising art star who worked at Clay Street Press for several years, starting when he was a teenager. ‘I wouldn’t be who I am without him, and I’m not alone in that assessment.”
